Biographie

Clémence Cheignon obtained a PhD in analytical chemistry at the University Paul Sabatier (Toulouse, France) in 2016 under the supervision of Dr. Fabrice Collin and Dr. Christelle Hureau in Pr. Peter Faller group, where she also carried out post-doctoral research until 2017. She studied the oxidation of amyloid-beta peptide in the context of Alzheimer's Disease and its consequences on the oxidative stress, aggregation and metal ion coordination. She then spent one year at the Institut des Biomolécules Max Mousseron (Montpellier, France) as an assistant professor in the group of Pr. Christine Enjalbal. Since 2019, she is assistant professor in analytical chemistry at ECPM and IPHC (Strasbourg University). Her current research is focused on the design and characterization of luminescent lanthanide nanoparticles and their application as probe in (bio)analysis.
