The Hubert Curien pluridisciplinary Institute - IPHC

The IPHC, a joint research unit under the joint supervision of the CNRS and the University of Strasbourg (UMR7178), is a successful example of multidisciplinarity where research teams from different scientific cultures (ecology, physiology and ethology, chemistry and subatomic physics) are developing very high-level multidisciplinary programs based on scientific instrumentation.

Flavor physics: connecting low- and high-energy searches

Speakers: Olcyr Sumensari (IJCLab) Precision measurements of low-energy flavor transitions provide stringent tests of the Standard Model (SM) dynamics. In this seminar, I will review the current status of $B$-meson searches and discuss the opportunities they offer to uncover possible New Physics interactions at the TeV scale. I will give particular emphasis to the theoretically clean decays $B o K^{(\ast)} u\bar{ u}$, which are now accessible at the Belle-II experiment. Using the Effective Field Theory approach, I will also explore the complementarity between these measurements and non-resonant searches performed at the (HL-)LHC. https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/38577/
