Our team conducts an interdisciplinary research program to understand the respective contribution of ecological, biological, socio-cultural and anthropological factors in the regulation of energy balance, weight and metabolic health. Our approach combines unique models and paradigms in extreme environments. Using these extreme environments, we seek to reveal the underlying mechanisms and understand the determinants of weight regulation and metabolic health. Our team is characterized by its interdisciplinarity since we pool our expertise in physiology, molecular biology, cell biology, health ecology, bio-anthropology, cultural anthropology, chemistry and physics.
