Radiochemistry

The Radiochemistry group develops fundamental and applied research themes, in area of high societal demand. The themes concern in particular the downstream part of the nuclear power cycle. The group has an expertise in actinides (An) and lanthanides (Ln) chemistry. Their speciation in solution is studied to elaborate new extraction processes, as well as their behavior in environment, in a context of long-term storage. Research activities on ionizing radiations – matter interaction are carried in a context of health: dosimetry (radioprotection, radiotherapy) or medical imaging.
