Our team is dedicated to the exploration and analysis of complex natural matrices such as fungi, plants, bacteria, and food products, as well as to the development of methodologies to identify and valorize molecules of therapeutic, environmental, or functional interest (antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, cytotoxic, bioherbicidal, antioxidant molecules, etc.).
Our projects aim to develop and validate innovative approaches to:
- Accelerate the detection of bioactive molecules (coupling of separation techniques with in vitro assays such as thin-layer chromatography bioautography, 96-well plate assays, bioreactors, etc.)
- Separate, purify, and identify target molecules (preparative HPLC, centrifugal partition chromatography, high-resolution mass spectrometry, NMR, etc.)
- Authenticate complex matrices (spices and food products)
- Develop green chemistry approaches (high-temperature liquid chromatography)
Our team benefits from multidisciplinary expertise in analytical chemistry, pharmacognosy, natural products, microbiology, and animal and plant cell culture. By valorizing natural resources and developing sustainable alternatives, our One Health approach contributes to the search for new bio-inspired solutions.
